How to do Paging / Pagination using XML or JSON web services

Since XML web services are meant for short / brief data deliveries with limitation on number of records, you have to use paging/pagination to request more information for paging and multiple web pages on your site.

The need for paging for XML / JSON is only for DFF's Price Search Engine web services since the amount of data returned for each search is more than the default limit of returnable rows.

There are two input parameters available for both XML and JSON web services:

How to use offset

The offset variable controls which row# result should start.
The offset is always starts from and defaults to 1 when not specified.
If your web page displays 20 products per page, when displaying page 2 you should set offset to 21.

How to use limit

The limit variable controls which rows to return as results for each query.
The limit is always defaults to 12 when not specified.
The limit has a maximum value of 20.
If your web page displays 20 products per page, you should set limit to 20.
