HTTP Status 400 - bad site code

The reason for this error is because the link we are trying to use with your Linkshare Affiliate Site ID is wrong.
Mainly it is because Linkshare Affiliate Site ID is difficult to find and also contains symbols other than just alpha numeric.
Please read the guidelines below of how to find and user Linkshare Affiliate Site ID or Site Code properly.

  1. Login to your Linkshare account as an Affiliate.
  2. Click on the 'LINKS' menu item (third menu item from the left)
  3. you should be in the 'Get Links' sub-menu showing your list of approved merchants.
  4. Hover your mouse over the first Merchant Name on the list (a yellow box should appear).
  5. Click on the last link in the yellow box 'Text / Email'.
  6. you should see the merchant's list of offers.
  7. Click on the first row 'Get Link' button (at the right side of each row).
  8. a new smaller window should appear titled Link Code.
  9. at the bottom of the Link Code window right before the Close button you should see (HTML codes) something like this:
    <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=2URpmDXhqIw&offerid=100462.10001381&type=3&subid=0" >Flowers at a special value from 1-800-FLOWERS.COM</a><IMG border=0 width=1 height=1 src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=2URpmDXhqIw&bids=100462.10001381&type=3&subid=0" >

  10. Analyze the HTML Code's first line starting with <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=
  11. The 11 characters code after the 'id=' is your Linkshare Affiliate Site ID or Site Code.

  13. Highlight / select the 11 characters code then copy it to DFF's Affiliate IDs page.

Tell Linkshare to make Affiliate Site ID or Code easier to find

We have tried many times to tell Linkshare to make their Affiliate Site ID easier to find. Even after they have their new web site, which mainly provide cosmetic improvements, Linkshare still have one of the worst functionality affiliate control panel in the industry.
Why can't Linkshare just put this Affiliate Site ID prominently under your account information?
Please help me tell them, I believe when they hear more affiliates complaints they may actually do something about it.
